History

2008

The first DrupalCamp Kyiv took place in August 2008 in the friendly surroundings of G-club, and brought together around 40 Drupal developers from four cities in the Ukraine (incidentally, the whole camp was organized in the space of ten days). Four presentations were given, discussing the basis of Drupal, the best packages, search-engine optimization, translation problems and examples of use of the system. There was much informal open discussion amongst participants over cups of tea and games of pool.

The result of the conference was the creation of the Google group Drupal_UA, with the help of which a single official translation of Drupal versions 5 and 6 was created in the space of a few weeks.

This year, DrupalCamp Kiev is more ambitious from the point of view of guests and participants, and more time has been devoted to its preparation and deciding the themes to be addressed. Details can be found on the schedule page.

2009

The second DrupalCamp brought together around 200 participants from the Ukraine, Russia and Belarus, amongst other countries. More than 30 sessions and presentations were given. A picture (or, indeed, a video) paints a thousand words, so let us take a look:

2010

This year, DrupalCamp Kyiv is more ambitious from the point of view of guests and participants, and more time has been devoted to its preparation and deciding the themes to be addressed. The organizers are planning on welcoming up to 500 web developers and entrepreneurs. This year's event will be spread over three days, because of the inclusion of an additional paid day for professional training.
